Mayor Danny Jordaan has recommited the municipality to fight water leaks. Jordaan was speaking at the launch of President Jacob Zuma’s War on Leaks campaign on Friday, August 28, with over 16 000 people in attendance at Dan Qeqe Stadium in Zwide. Jordaan said he, together with Zuma and the minister of water and sanitation Nomvula Makonyana, had visited a house in Zwide where a family owed R70 000 in municipal water bills due to leakages.
